Today Muriel inspired us with a French custom of honouring the visit of the three kings to see the baby Jesus. Muriel, Maylin, Pat, Hilda, Lydia, Freda and Della made Galette des Rois. This was a three layered flaky pastry with an almond filling. It was really delicious and the residents enjoyed it at tea time. After the cooking we enjoyed a singing and poetry session with hats to remind us of the three kings.
