Happy 100th Birthday Dame Vera Lynn!

vera lynn

On monday we enjoyed a party for Vera Lynn to celebrate her 100th birthday.  It was a shame that she was unable to attend!  The residents sang, read poetry and joined in with quizzes about Dame Vera Lynn’s life.  Ron L and Mary sang the whole of ‘There’ll Always be an England’ from memory.  We also enjoyed a delicious lemon Victoria sponge in honour of Dame Vera Lynn.
