Madeline completed a 10 week residency recently – a project initiated and supported by The Courtyard’s Creative Ageing programme. From feedback from the residents, and staff at The Forbury, from Madeline herself, and Josie from The Courtyard and Madeline’s mentor Jeanette, the residency was a great success. Madeline introduced fabric based collage techniques. Working with residents using their own themes and ideas, the colourful artwork suggested a love of colour, pattern, textures and the inclusion for some people of words. The final pieces were attached together in a ‘fabric book’ for the residents to show families and friends. Thank you Madeline and thank you also to The Courtyard for including us in the Colour Me Purple project.
