Pumpkin carving and stuffing squashes
On Thursday last week residents helped with designing and carving detailed pumpkin faces. Thank you very much to Eunice for her three giant pumpkins which she grew and donated to us! They have been much admired. Edna Bo, Cora, Eric and Edna Be helped to prepare the evening meal, stuffing marrow and a squash with a mixture of tomato, home-grown parsley, mushrooms, red pepper, olives and cheese. They also made pizzas, choosing from the available ingredients for the toppings, with Edna Be topping her stuffed marrow slices with stretched dough.

West Midlands Safari Park!
Muriel B, Eric, Cora, Julian, Hilda A-S and Lydia took a tour of West Midlands Safari Park. We were well entertained by a chewing camel which wiped its face across the window of the new mini bus! and by ostriches with huge eyes which came up close and seemed to study us, as well as a giraffe, a rhino and many other animals. Click on each photo to enlarge.
