Paddy, Hilda A-S, Hilda P, David, Eric and Tony had a nice afternoon out at Hereford Community Farm.
Some of our group remembered their enjoyable visit there last summer. The farm moved from its more hilly location near to Pontrilas in 2013. It provides activities involving gardening and farming and looking after animals. Our guide was very knowledgeable and she described the needs and habits of the guinea pigs, rabbits, pigs and the pony that we met. We also walked through a large vegetable patch and admired the huge courgette plants and plentiful courgettes, marrows and patty pan squashes. We were given some patty pan squashes to take back with us and we were advised that these could be stuffed with a mixture involving herbs and breadcrumbs …see photos below…
First we had a picnic..
Then we met a horse, miniature ponies and guinea pigs..
And some large rabbits..
