On Thursday 21st May 2015 we opened the Travelling by Moonlight exhibition at The Courtyard in Hereford city centre. The opening of the exhibition brought people from far and wide to see artwork made by residents at The Forbury, including a ‘Clothing’ project (unfinished, but it was too good, even in its unfinished state not to exhibit) made with pupils from Leominster Primary School, a ‘Circus’ textile wall hanging and several other collaborative paintings. Every single resident, member of staff and many family members have contributed to this highly successful show of work. Art made by Jeanette, Tom, Gez and Marsha, who all have worked with residents is also included in this exhibition.
This exhibition has already been visited by a group of residents who found the show exciting and interesting – its not often we can say “our work in on display in a prestigious gallery for everyone to enjoy and see”. More residents over the following weeks will enjoy a trip to the exhibition. The show was due to close on 12 July but will possibly stay up until September (TBC).
