How did we make this picture? Each of the six separate sections is a piece of ‘foamboard’ ( lightweight but thick foam card). Using quilting fabric (ie smooth and colourful fine cotton) we selected and glued the fabric down onto the card. Later, on another day, we did some silk work, using fabric felt tips over screen printed pictures. These silks were then pasted over the fabric using watered down PVA glue making the silk transparent. Each foamboard had their edges covered with fabric ribbon. All six panels were then taped together using ‘duct tape’. Simple, effective, beautiful and all in all 12 people made the finished picture.
